What is Chloroxylenol ?
Chloroxylenol/PCMX Disinfectant (P-Chloro-m-Xylenol) is a antimicrobial chemical compound used to control bacteria, algae and fungi in adhesives, emulsions, paints and wash tanks. It is also commonly used in antibacterial soaps such as Dettol. Studies have shown a low anti microbial activity which is enhanced by additives. Its antibacterial action is due to disruption of cell membrane potentials. |

Application of Chloroxylenol
1 Hospital and general medicinal; patient skin disinfection before surgery; sterilization of medical equipment; daily cleaning of equipment and hard surfaces to avoid cross-infection; medical antibacterial soap can be produced by PCMX, Hong Kong foot fungicide and general first-aid supplies .
