What is Vitamin B17 (Amygdalin)?
"Vitamin B17" is not a B vitamin (because no part of it can be used as a coenzyme). It is chemically composed of two sugar molecules, namely, a compound of benzaldehyde and cyanide, named amygdalin; used as a drug, also known as Nitrilosides; taken from almonds; not found in brewer's yeast Amygdalin; most US state governments do not recognize this as a cancer treatment (25 states legally recognize it). The American Cancer Society warns patients who listen to rumors on the Internet: Decades of clinical studies have shown that this compound has no evidence to support cancer.
