Function of Bile Acid

1. Promote the digestion and absorption of lipids
Bile acids contain hydrophilic hydroxyl and carboxyl groups, as well as hydrophobic methyl and hydrocarbon nuclei. At the same time, the steric coordination of hydroxyl and carboxyl groups are both α, so the main configuration of bile acid has both hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity.
