What is Pleuromulin ? Pleuromutilin is a broad-spectrum diterpene antibiotic produced by Pleurotusmutilus, and is the precursor of the semi-synthetic derivatives of pleuromutilin drugs. The pleuromutilin antibiotics are a large family of novel antibiotics with good antibacterial activity and resistance to drug resistance. They can effectively inhibit most gram-positive bacteria, mycoplasma and some gram-negative bacteria.

Function of Pleuromulin

Pleuromulin  efficaciously inhibits and cures respiratory diseases and mycoplasma disease of livestock and poultry. 

Pleuromulin  is active against gram-positive bacteria, mycoplasma, and anaerobes, including Treponema hyodysenteriae. 
 
Pleuromulin  is also clinically effective in the treatment of swine pleuropneumoniae caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, swine mycoplasma pneumonia and swine hematodiarrhoea; mycoplasma arthritis; chronic respiratory disease of poultry, etc.
