The β -lactam structure of ceftriaxone acts on carboxypeptidase, endopeptidase and peptidase of bacterial cell plasma membrane, all of which are involved in cell synthesis and cell division. Through these enzymes, they lead to cell wall defects and cell death, and inhibit the synthesis of mucin in bacterial cell wall to achieve the therapeutic effect.
