What is Biuret ? Biuret is a kind of organic matter, chemical formula is C2H5N3O2, white long flake crystal, odorless, hygroscopic.  Water crystallization contains 4 molecules of crystal water, water loss at about 110ºC, decomposition at 193ºC, when the temperature is higher into melamine.  Soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in ether.

Function of Biuret 

Used as pharmaceutical intermediate,foaming agent, paint  

As a non-protein nitrogen source, it is added to feed to meet the needs of animals for protein through the microbial synthesis of protein in the rumen, which is safer than urea.  It is an excellent animal feed additive.  

Application of Biuret 

Pharmaceutical intermediates, used to make sleeping pills and sedatives, but also has a slow diuretic effect and lower blood pressure function;  In the chemical industry, it can be used as fiber bleach agent, paper flame retardant, leather and textile coating, foam and sponge foaming agent, resin, plastic, paint, adhesive, dye, lubricating oil additive.  In agriculture, for long-term nitrogen fertilizer;  In animal husbandry, is an excellent ruminant non-protein nitrogen feed additive, used in ruminant feed, as well as urea as a feed additive, but safer than urea.
