Function of Daunorubicin
Daunorubicin, also known as daunomycin, is a chemotherapy medication used to treat cancer.[2] Specifically it is used for acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), and Kaposi's sarcoma.[2] It is used by injection into a vein.[2] A liposomal formulation known as liposomal daunorubicin also exists.
Application of Daunorubicin
1) this product can only be used for intravenous injection, because of venous irritation, can cause thrombophlebitis, it should not drip. If redness, pain or spills, immediately stop and take appropriate measures, such as a cold compress.
2)can not be performed during the FDA radiotherapy, especially thoracic radiotherapy. Disable least 3-4 weeks after radiotherapy to apply daunorubicin.
3) during the treatment and should be monitored before each chemotherapy, blood and heart function, regular liver and kidney function tests.
4)the product in animals can cause reproductive dysfunction and obstacles delayed. In male dogs can cause testicular atrophy.
